Fenced Parks
If you are a new owner of a beagle or even if you have owned a beagle for a while, one of the things that you will or may have come to realise is that they are very social animals and need a great deal of stimulation and enjoy socialising as much as we two legged beagle parents do!
EBWA is amongst a lot of other things, a fantastic group of people when it comes to helping with the socialisation of our fur babies.
Meeting Places:
Forrestfield Federation Gardens “The Lake” off Hatfield Road Forrestfield, is becoming one of my preferred places. Set between the golf course and Tennis courts, it provides a nice safe environment for play both in and out of water! It is fenced on three sides leaving you with one side to watch out for! If your kids are escape artists a good long 15m lead from ebay will give them and you all the secure play they need! Frequented by a number of beagle cousins..your kids can find friends there when they are driving you nuts around the house.
Packer Park, Dudley Road Kenwick Fenced two sides, huge oval in a very quiet village style area. One road in and out. Park has doggy bags and bins provided. Heaps of parking, play area for kids. Brining your own chairs. This park gets very wet in winter so is great for a wet romp. Long leads work a treat for furkids with bad recall skills.
“Yarra Vista Reserve” Jandakot (http://www.cockburn.wa.gov.au/…/Dog_Exercise_Ar…/default.asp ) Dean road Jandakot- Come and visit our display at the Yarra Vista Dog Park (Jandakot Dog Park)
“Peace Park” Parmelia (http://doggo.com.au/peace-park-parmelia/) is the home of Beagle Play dates. You can generally find a group of furry friends and family there from about 2:30pm onwards on a daily basis. Will two fully fenced and fully grassed areas, with simple obstacles for playing or training, you are bound to have a yapping time!
Inglewood Oval dedicated Dog Exercise Area, entry off Central Avenue, Mount Lawley (opp. Tennis Club) This is the only dedicated dog exercise area in the City of Stirling. Purpose built and fully fenced with natural elements such as a mix of sand and turf, agility logs, dog drinking bowl, gazebo for cover and bench seating, it’s particularly popular in the evenings when locals gather post work to give their fur kids some time to play and run. The park attracts lots of different types of dogs but bigger breeds do seem to dominate so if you have a young puppy or small dog that’s a bit skittish keep them well supervised.
“Whitman Park Dog Park”, (http://www.whitemanpark.com.au/facilities/dogpark.aspx) is another of my favourites… 2 acres surrounded by 1.8 meter fences and gates makes this an idea spot to let them off their leads and run. The park offers water fountains for them at numerous points around the park. It's a very natural grassed area with benches for the mums & dads, plus an excellent footpath around if you and the kids want to “exercise”. There is also a great little obstacle course for them to play around, on and in.
Coolamon Dog Park Westgrove Dr Ellenbrook WA 6069 Facilities Bins Fenced Seating Fully fenced dog park. Double gates at each entry point. Doggy bags provided. This place is HUGE! Grassed. Only 1 covered seating area for the two legged visittors so if staying for a while, bring your own fold up chair! There is a small pond and I only saw 1 water tap, but a great space to run and play.
Gilbert Fraser Oval - John Street Fremantle Fenced on the 2 sides that face roads except for 5 gates. I side faces the river with is the dog free beach..... There is a fence between the oval and river... But is open wire so dog can get through... The fourth side is closed except for about 50m on river side that accesses pier 21 and boat jetties. Leighton beach is separated from roads by dunes and a steep slope....
Yellagonga near Cockmans House is nice but not enclosed in the slightest but it is a big area and nice once away
Jack Marks Park Highgate WA 6003 This is a great park to bring your dog for a run and a play with other dogs, and a good one if you have kids too with the fully fenced playground for them to play on. It's beautifully shaded on one corner of the park and there is heaps of room for dogs to run around or chase a ball. Just remember the fence is only 1m high, so if you have a runner that can get over the fence then this may not be the park for you. Off The Lead Park * Fully Fenced (only 1m high) * Water Fountain & Bowl * Street Parking * Partly Shade * Fully Fenced Playground
Lathlain Park McCartney Cres, Lathlain WA 6100 Fully fenced dog exercise area with agility equipment.

Quinn's dog beach is really good as the cliffs are steep and with sea on one side and sand dunes on the other.
